The Mepilex Transfer foam exudate transfer layer is created to be utilized as a primary dressing for wounds. Its design enables it to draw exudate from the wound and transfer the fluid to a secondary absorbent dressing. By using this dressing combination, a moist wound environment is maintained.
The Mepilex Transfer dressing is highly conformable, soft, and thin, which makes it effortless to keep in contact with the wound surface and surrounding skin, even in areas that are difficult to dress. Additionally, it can mold softly to the skin without sticking to the moist wound due to Safetac® - a silicone adhesion layer that is less painful and original.
Patients experience less pain when removing the dressing, and it seals the wound margins to protect the skin from damaging leakage and maceration.
